Getting
Fit: Getting
Started
By
John Keith
With the lure of fast food, subliminal advertising of
junk food, and decrease of physical activity with the
adoption of sedentary living, it’s no small wonder that

out-of-shape person has trouble combating their situation
because developing a fitness regimen can seem daunting.

On Raider News:
A Student-Teacher Controversy
By Kristina Perry,
Editorial Staff
Nearly every morning
in 1st period class, teachers turn on their television
sets and students reroute their attention to MCHS’s broadcast
program, most commonly known as Raider News. However, due to the
lack of patience with how the show is produced, some teachers are
skipping this important Raider tradition.

Please
remember
our troops and their
families during the holiday season.

Distinguished Disney Trip
By Whitney Tucker
For several years it has been a
McCreary Central tradition for those students who received a
distinguished ranking on one or more of the sections on
the annual CATS test the previous spring to be rewarded with a
nearly all expenses paid trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando,
Florida.
Thanksgiving
for the Soldiers
By Amber Gilreath
The McCreary
Central High School J.R.O.T.C. has been leading the way to
collect gifts, personal hygiene items, and clothing for troops
in Iraq to help them have a better holiday. The school is trying to collect 1,000
items. Please join in and support out troops.
You
can also remember our soldiers during this Thanksgiving holiday by
helping to provide them with certain items that they
need and are hard to obtain. Anything we can do
may help make their Thanksgiving a little better by letting
them know how much we care. The MCHS Sword newspaper staff would
like to thank Sgt. Arnold Carroll and Sgt. J.B. Waters for their
dedication and hard work.
