I am the choir director at McCreary Central High School. This is my 2nd year in the district, and my 1st year full time at the high school. I earned my bachelor's degree in music education from Eastern Kentucky University (Go Colonels). I hold membership in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (the nation's oldest music fraternity), the National Association for Music Educators, the Kentucky Music Educators Association, and the Southeastern Kentucky Music Educators Association. I am the worship leader at Slate Branch Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. I play french horn and I am on the board of directors for the Somerset Brass, a performing ensemble focused on appreciation and education for the arts.

I am excited about all the musical opportunities that are being provided at McCreary Central High School. We have added two brand new choirs for the 2016-2017 school year. Students are now being offered Show Choir and Appalachian Chorus as options for the school year, in addition to Concert Choir, Bella Voce, and Madrigal Singers. We are targeting many more performances this year, in addition to educational opportunities, and they will be found on my site's calendar as they are announced.
