Subject: congratulations for your World Languages program! - McCreary

Mr. Cash,

My name is Mr. De Torres and I am the World Languages consultant at the Kentucky Department of Education.

I am writing this email to you after receiving from Mr. Anderson the information that I requested to him in regard to the World Languages program in McCreary County Schools.

Upon receiving the information that Mr. Anderson provided me with, I learned something for which I wanted to take a moment to recognize the uniqueness of what is happening at Pine Knot Intermediate School, and use it to encourage you and your district to continue the hard work that you have started and are going through to provide McCreary County students with K-12 World Languages education.

I am glad to hear that Pine Knot Intermediate School is offering German at 4 and 5 grade level. I cannot imagine how excited its students are for having such amazing opportunity, while preparing them with the necessary skills to function in this world. The uniqueness of the situation (and a fact to be recognized for) is that Pine Knot Intermediate School is the only school in the whole state of Kentucky offering German education at the 4 and 5 grade level. This is great news!! Good job!! I look forward to hearing in the future from Pine Knot Intermediate School and its students about their successes and accomplishments in German.

Mr. Cash, thank you very much for all you do for the students in the field of World Languages in McCreary County Schools. Please, do know that your work is truly appreciated, I hope that you continue the great job that you have started and that is taking shape in the form of teaching German at the elementary level.

If you have any questions or if I can ever be of any assistance to you and any of the professionals in your district, do not hesitate to contact me at any time.

Have a great day!
