McCreary County Schools Transition to All Distance Learning

As you are likely aware, Governor Beshear announced a number of COVID-19 related restrictions yesterday, including some that affect public and private education. Specifically,

• No in-person instruction for elementary students for the next two weeks. Elementary students may return beginning the week of December 7 if the county is not in the “red” category for 7-day incidence rates.

• No in-person instruction for grades 6-12 until January 4.

We will being transitioning to all distance learning for a time. We believe that this will be a smooth transition as Fridays have been virtual days for all students.

Friday, November 20 – Virtual Day

Monday, November 23 – Virtual Day

Tuesday, November 24 – Virtual Day

Wednesday, November 25 – Sunday, November 29 – Thanksgiving Break

Monday, November 30 and Beyond – Virtual Days until further notice

It is our sincere hope to be able to return to in-person learning as quickly as safely possible.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
