Hello Raider Family,
My name is Charlotte Barnett and I am currently the Assistant Principal at McCreary Central High School. I have had the pleasure of working for the McCreary County School District since 2004. I've spent more than 10 years in the classroom teaching Social Studies. During that time, I served as the Freshman Academy Team Leader and Chair of the Social Studies Department. More importantly, I was and always will be a proud teacher. I learned to develop curriculum, challenge and engage my students and build relationships with students that fostered their growth and my own. My greatest pleasure is teaching alongside many of those former students now. After leaving the classroom, I have served as the Curriculum Coordinator, CTE Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. In my current role, I serve as the lead in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. PBIS is a multi-tiered system of support designed to teach and reinforce positive behaviors in our school and community. The school-wide expectations at McCreary Central High School are designed around our Raider Character Traits. These character traits represent what an MCHS Raider is and always strives to be!
